Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Israel in July 2017 on his way back from G20 summit, to be held during second week of July in Hamburg. However, he will not visit Palestine during the tour, confirmed by Adnan Abu Alhaija, Palestinian ambassador toIndia. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will be visiting India just before the Indian Prime Minister sets off for Israel. This is the first act of de-hyphenating India's relations with the two West Asian states, a long pending request of Israel.? Groundwork for PM Modi’s visit to the Jewish state was worked out by India’s NSA Ajit Doval during his recent visit to Israel.
